Frank D. Sharp, 76, of Decatur, IL passed away at 11:40 P.M. Wednesday, February 9, 2011in St. Mary’s Hospital.
A service to celebrate Frank’s life will be at 1:00 P.M., Monday, February 14, 2011 at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home in Mt. Zion, IL with visitation on Sunday from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Decatur, IL with military rites provided by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Frank was born November 19, 1934 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He worked as a laborer for Local #159 Labor Union and served in the Army Air Force during the Korean War. He married Donna M. Rogers February 16, 1974. She preceded him in death October 4, 2010.
Surviving are his children: Alan Sharp of Shobonier, IL, Pam McCullough and companion Adrian Fowler of Pocatello, Idaho, Jeff Sharp and wife Kat of Macon County, IL, George Taylor and wife Stephanie of Decatur, IL, Debbie Gruiel and husband Don of Segal, IL, Frank Taylor and wife Ruth of Decatur, IL, Debra Pyles and husband Gary of Decatur, IL, Kelly McGill and husband Marty of Katy, TX, Mike Taylor and wife Michelle of Maroa, Linda Taylor and husband Monty of Springfield, IL, Barbara Brown and husband Wayne of Mt. Zion, IL and Steven Sharp and partner Mike Suarez of Schaumburg, IL; forty three grandchildren and forty great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother and one sister.
